Yuseong Hot Springs is convenient for traffic, as it is located at Yuseong, Daejeon City, in the center of Korea. It was discovered during the Baekjae period and was much used by the Royal family during the early Joseon period. It is proud of history and tradition. Yousung Hotel was founded in 1915 when the Yuseong Hot Springs were developed in modern style. The hotel has been developed into a special hotel equipped with complex leisure facilities, including its present Hot Spa facilities, being remodeled 4 times in 80 years.
Yousung Hotel is especially famous in Korea and abroad because of the hotel's Hot Spa, which springs from 350 meters underground with radium hot water (weak alkaline water, 56 degrees C) and is piped to all facilities in the hotel.
The neighborhood of Yousung Hotel contains national parks, such as Gyeryeong-san and
Songni-san, as well as famous temples like Donghak-sa, Gap-sa, and Beopju-sa. The area has a strong cultural/historical connection with the Baekjae period from nearby Buyeo City and Gongju City. Daejeon Expo '93 was held in neighboring Expo Science Park. Golf courses are also nearby.
